Hunter Hoggatt, BA
Vice President of Corrections
Mr. Hoggatt is responsible for all activities associated with Westwood Pharmacy’s business development. He has a central role in ensuring effective company growth and establishing a satisfied client base. Mr. Hoggatt has 12 years of managerial experience in providing correctional pharmacy services to state and local government entities. With extensive experience in government relations and contracting, Mr. Hoggatt has helped guide Westwood Pharmacy to become one of the leading providers of pharmacy services to the correctional industry in the United States. Mr. Hoggatt received his BA degree with a major in business from the Virginia Commonwealth University.
Stephen Dowdy, MPA
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Dowdy is responsible for the accounting and drug utilization departments of Westwood Pharmacy. Any requests for reports or billing inquiries should be directed to Mr. Dowdy, and he will ensure our staff will get your facility the information you need. He was first employed at Westwood Pharmacy in 1994 as a pharmacy technician and then served 20 years in the United States Air Force as a military planner before returning in 2014 as our Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Dowdy graduated from the Virginia Military Institute with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Business and received his Masters of Public Administration from Georgia College and State University.
Shannon Dowdy, Pharm.D
Vice President of Clinical Services/Director of Regulatory Affairs
Dr. Dowdy is responsible for all aspects of Westwood Pharmacy’s program, including procedures related to formulary management, as well as serving as Vice Chair of our Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee. Shannon supervises the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC) and American Correctional Association (ACA) accreditation process for Westwood Pharmacy. Dr. Dowdy oversees all inspections for Westwood Pharmacy. She strives to make sure all facilities meet DOC, NCCHC, and ACA inspections standards with regards to medical and pharmacy. Dr. Dowdy is in charge of all clinical programs at Westwood such as educational speakers, immunization clinics, pilot programs and health screenings.
Shubhro Pal, R.Ph. Ph.D.
Vice President of Pharmacy Operations
Dr. Pal is responsible for overseeing day to day operations in the pharmacy. He orchestrates facility startups including liaison with state and national regulatory agencies like the State Board of Pharmacies, DEA etc. He is responsible for budgeting proper inventory levels to fill orders from the facilities. He is directly involved in purchasing decisions for the pharmacy to keep financial stability.
Shubhro provides direct oversight in the formulation of policies and procedures, drug formulary design, production, and cost containment strategies. He is also responsible for staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for our pharmacy staff, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Nicole Sharp,Director of Purchasing
Ms. Sharp has worked as a Pharmacy Technician for our family owned company for over 20 years and has a vast knowledge of our pharmacy operations. She currently oversees all purchases by Westwood Pharmacy and insures that we receive the best prices available, which allows us to pass that savings along to our customers. Additional, she assists with our monthly billing and prepares our monthly reports. Ms. Sharp also has an immense knowledge for our software, eLinkRx, which allows her to train facilities as needed.
